Raymond Cannefax Biography :

Raymond Cannefax has been in the high technology industry for the past 25 years in high-level management and leadership capacities. Throughout this period, Mr. Cannefax has maintained a constant focus on corporate development, corporate growth, product development, product sales and marketing.

Mr. Cannefax began his high-tech career in the telecommunications industry in 1979 at AT&T/US West. During that time he attended a series of intense management programs at MIT. Following his success at AT&T, Mr. Cannefax was in charge of the International communications services and developments for Adnon Kohshoggi’s Triad America Enterprise. Following Triad’s closure of US operations Mr. Cannefax joined Sprint Communications, serving as their Regional Director with responsible for restructuring a number of Sprint’s failing sales operations in the Western States.

In 1992 Mr. Cannefax founded Apollo Telecom, Inc. after acquiring the assets of Fox Communications of Utah. As an International Telecommunications provider Apollo Telecom established and operated sales and transmission operations in Utah, Arizona, California, Washington as well as in an International office in Tokyo, Japan. In 1996, after growing revenue to $12 million, Mr. Cannefax sold his interest in Apollo Telecom to Japan’s Hideo Gotto Investment Consortium.

In 1997 Mr. Cannefax founded Aspen Network, Inc. and development the Internet’s first eCommerce-specific search engine. The company name was changed to eComOnly, Inc. in 1999. The company also provided software development for eCommerce related projects.

Mr. Cannefax joined Paradigm Medical Industries in January 2003 as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He restructured the existing domestic sales force to create a stronger presence in the domestic markets while maintaining strong product sales and acceptance in the International markets. Mr. Cannefax continued to source new product to keep the company competitive in the global ophthalmic market place and was responsible for a OEM product manufactured in the UK.

For eight months in 2005, as the Vice President Asia Region, Mr. Cannefax undertook the task of restructuring the sales operations of the Asia/Pacific Rim Region for one of Paradigm’s competitors, Escalon Medical/Sonomed. Within that period, Sonomed’s sales in Asia increased by 42%. Mr. Cannefax returned to Paradigm in January 2006 as Paradigm’s President & CEO.

Mr. Cannefax graduated from the University of Utah with a B.S. in Psychology/Zoology in 1976. He studied an additional three years at the University of Utah’s Graduate School of Education and the School of Business whith International Business as his focus. He completed the Graduate School of Education secondary education program with an emphasis on educational psychology.

Mr. Cannefax served two years in the US Army, stationed at the White Sands Missile Range where he was involved in the development of the TOW missile and improving missile trajectory system software. In 1974 Mr. Cannefax received an honorable discharge.
