~Mr. Velarde has been a member of the Board of Mexssub since its foundation and is currently CEO. He has a degree in Industrial Engineering, an MBA (IPADE) and a PHD from Harvard Business School. Mr. Velarde has management experience as Operations Manager at Planta Productos Víctor S.A., Operations Director at Perforaciones S. A., COO at Exportación y Tecnología, COO of Desarrollos Cancún and CEO of Grupo Perforadata, an oil exploration group. Mr. Velarde has also worked as a consultant in management processes in the areas of: strategy, decision making & change management. He has been an advisor to different companies in diverse sectors: oil exploration, oil technology, cement, pharmaceutical, food & beverages, agro-industry & banking. He has been Professor at IPADE since 1990 in the areas of Finance and Business Policy and has held diverse management positions within this institution. He is co-author of the book RION, GEO y Valore (Brainware, 1997). |
