Dr. Hofstein became a Director in 2006. He is the General Manager of Hadasit Ltd., a biomedical
technology holding company of the Hadassah Medical Organization, based in Jerusalem, Israel. From
1997-99, he was President of Mindsense Biosystems Ltd., where the company developed neuropsychiatric
immune assays. Before that, Dr. Hofstein worked for Ecogen, Inc., a Pennsylvania-based company, where
he assisted in the development of novel microbial fungicides. Dr. Hofstein received master (1976) and
doctoral (1980) degrees in Lifesciences and Chemistry from the Weizman Institute of Science in Rehovot,
Israel, and completed post-doctoral research fellowships at Harvard Medical School, from 1980-83. |
