Mr. Lohoff is vice president of Corporate Responsibility for Marathon Petroleum Company LLC. He assumed his current duties as vice president of Corporate Responsibility in August 2005.
Mr. Lohoff joined Ashland Inc. in 1977 as a labor relations attorney. He functioned in various legal capacities for Ashland Inc. and its divisions until 1987. He transferred to Ashland Petroleum Company in 1987 as director, Human Resources. He was promoted to vice president, Human Resources and Safety in 1992 and assumed duties as vice president, Human Resources, Safety and Law Administration in 1996.
In January 1998, Mr. Lohoff accepted the position of senior vice president, Human Resources, Health, Environment and Safety with Marathon Ashland Petroleum Company LLC*. In May 1999, he was also named Compliance Officer for the company. In January 2001, Mr. Lohoff assumed duties as senior vice president, Health, Environment and Safety and Public Affairs and was named senior vice president, Corporate Responsibility in June 2003.
Mr. Lohoff is an executive board member of the Black Swamp Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America, board member of the Hancock County Chapter of the American Red Cross and a member of the Community Development Foundation. He also is a member of the American Bar Association, the Kentucky Bar Association and the Ethics Officer Association. A 1974 graduate of DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, Mr. Lohoff earned a bachelor's degree in economics. In 1977, he received a Juris Doctorate from the University of Louisville School of Law. He is a 1988 graduate of Indiana University's Executive Development Program and a 2001 graduate of Stanford University's Executive Program.
