Dr. Raluca Dinu is the Vice President of Electro-Optics of Lumera Corporation. Her 7 years of experience in telecommunication components and systems include roles of increasing responsibility. In her present position, Dr. Dinu is leading the development of electro-optic polymer products and launching new products for fiber and wireless communication applications, and has P&L responsibility. Dr. Dinu provides leadership and direction to diverse technical, operational, and administrative functions within the corporation and serves as a technical expert both internally and externally. The Lumera Corporation develops electro-optic polymer components that feature a combination of the largest bandwidths and fastest switching speeds with the lowest drive voltages; using polymer materials engineered at the molecular level. Targeting wireless system’s markets, Dr. Dinu’s team developed a millimeter wave communication system, capable of transmitting data rates as high as 10 Gbps on multiple frequency bands. Dr. Dinu has more than 15 patents and patent applications in the field of electro-optic polymer components and millimeter wave communication systems. She obtained her BSc in Optics, and PhD in Physics, at the University of Bucharest in 2000 in ferroelectric thin films for random access memories. Dr. Dinu graduated the Executive MBA AeA/Stanford Institute in 2007. |
