Ralph W. Barnett , a resident of San Jose, is the Executive Vice President and SBA Manager of the Bank. He brings over 12 years of SBA Lending experience to Bridge Bank of Silicon Valley. Until February 2002, Ralph was a Senior Vice President and SBA Manager with Cupertino National Bank in San Jose. At Cupertino National Bank, Ralph was responsible for daily management of a SBA lending team that supported nine members banks for Greater Bay Bancorp. His areas of responsibilities included all marketing, structuring, underwriting, and collection of his SBA lending team that generated $68 million in loans during 2001 and managed a loan portfolio of over $160 million. Ralph managed a team of sixteen employees.
Over the years Ralph has been recognized by the U.S. Small Business Administration for his commitment to the small business community in Northern California. He was named a SBA Financial Services Advocate of the Year for 2000 for his role as President of the Bay Area Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders. He has also received awards recognizing him as the most active SBA Lender for loans of less than $150,000 and for his role in working with the SBA to form the Bay Area Micro Loan Program. During his tenure, Ralph has consistently been ranked one of the top five SBA lenders for the Bay Area. |
