Rahul Yarala, Chief Technology Officer - Turbine Development Rahul Yarala joined General Compression after serving as Director of Engineering at Clipper Windpower, Inc., where he was responsible for all mechanical design aspects of Clipper's Liberty 2.5 mW wind turbine from concept to operation. He was the champion behind Clipper's award of Germanishcer Lloyd design statements of compliance for the 2.5 mW turbine series. Rahul has 15 years of experience in new product development, mechanical engineering and product management, technology management, design, and manufacturing operations, including previous positions with RainBird Corporation, Emerson Electric Co., Reyco Industries, Inc., and CAT Inc., (Automated Analysis Corporation). In these positions, Rahul designed and analyzed structures for the Track Skidder used in the logging industry and parallelogram suspensions used for buses and trucks, as well as designed and helped commercialize several ventilation products and plastic water sprinklers. Rahul earned his MBA from the University of Kansas, his MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla/Northern Illinois University and his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Osmania University in India. He has three U.S. patents pending. |
