Rafael Polanco is a Vice President of the firm’s corporate advisory business.
Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Polanco worked in the technology investment banking group at Credit Suisse First Boston focusing on mergers and acquisitions.
In recent transactions at Evercore, Mr. Polanco has been involved in Cendant's sale of Travelport to The Blackstone Group, the spin-offs by Cendant of Realogy and Wyndham Worldwide, Credit Suisse Group's sale of Winterthur Group to AXA, Swiss Re's acquisition of General Electric's reinsurance assets and Dow Jones' acquisition of MarketWatch. Other notable transactions include VeriSign’s acquisition of Illuminet, Synopsys' acquisition of Avant!, Newport's acquisition of Kensington Laboratories, the sale of Mechanical Dynamics to MSC Software, the management buyout of Edison Schools, the recapitalization of Infocrossing and the sale of LAUNCH Media to Yahoo!.
Mr. Polanco received a B.S. in Biology and a B.E. in Environmental Engineering from the Dual Degree Program in Science and Engineering at New York University. |
