Prasad Thammineni founded jPeople in October of 2000 and grew it to one of the most respectable high-end consulting firm in Boston. jPeople has provided technology leadership on a number of high-profile projects for clients such as Fidelity Investments and IBM.
As an MBA student at Wharton during 2005-2007, he chaired the highly successful Wharton Entrepreneurship Conference. He was also awarded the Joseph P. Wharton Award for Leadership and Innovation given to a student who best exemplifies the essence of innovation, leadership and vision. He was also the MBA student mentor at the Weiss Tech House, the incubator for UPenn students.
Prior to jPeople, he was the CTO and co-founder of Indolis.com, a B2B trading hub connecting enterprises, portals and intranets. Indolis was ranked in the top 10 business plans in the 2000 Harvard Business Plan Competition.
Between 1994 and 2000, Prasad held a number of technology leadership positions at Specialized Software the last of which was the position of Chief Technology Officer setting technology strategy, developing cutting edge products and building new consulting practices. Just within 18 months of starting the practice, the revenue generated by the group grew from zero to $6 million.
He was a frequent presenter at events like Java Business Expo and various IBM conferences, as well as a frequent contributor to Java Developer's Journal and other industry publications.
Prasad received his MBA with honors from Wharton School with a dual major in Operations and Marketing from University of Pennsylvania. He also received a dual major in Mathematics and Computer Science from Birla Institute and Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani. |
