Ping Gu is an associate in the Intellectual Property Practice Group and the General Litigation Group in the New York Office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP. Prior to joining Milbank, Ms. Gu was associated with Morgan & Finnegan, LLP.
Ms. Gu has significant intellectual property litigation experience before various federal district courts and the International Trade Commission, representing and defending clients in patent litigations in the computer hardware and software, semi-conductor, electrical and biology fields. She has assisted clients involved in merger and acquisition deals, ensuring and protecting the value of intellectual property and her client's interests during the transaction. Ms. Gu has drafted and prosecuted patent applications involving mechanical devices, computer software, business method, optical devices and electrical products.
Ms. Gu is admitted to practice in the State of New York and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern District of New York and the Eastern District of New York. She is also registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Ms. Gu received her B.S. in Computer Science from Qingdao University in 1996, and her Bachelor of Law from Chinese University of Political Science and Law in 1998.
Ms. Gu received her J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law in 2002.
