Phillip R. Cox, 58, is president and CEO of Cox Financial Corporation, Cincinnati, a financial services firm he founded in 1971. He was elected to Diebold's board of directors in 2005. In addition, he serves as a director on a variety of boards, including Cincinnati Bell, the Federal Reserve Bank, Duke Energy Corporation, The Timken Company, the University of Cincinnati and Bethesda Hospital.
Also, Cox is chairman of the Cincinnati Business Committee, an organization comprised of the 25 most influential companies in the Cincinnati area, of which Cox Financial has been a member for the past seven years.
Cox is a graduate of Xavier University and holds a doctorate of letters degree from the College of Mount St. Joseph and Cincinnati Technical College. |
