Phil Polkinghorn is executive vice president Life and Annuity for The Phoenix Companies Inc. He is responsible for life annuity and private placement insurance manufacturing functions including product and market development underwriting and issue customer service and life claims operations state and federal regulatory filings actuarial finance and life and annuity distribution.
Mr. Polkinghorn joined Phoenix in March 2004 after serving for two years as a vice president for the annuity business of Sun Life Financial Company which acquired Keyport Life in late 2001. Prior to that acquisition he was president of Keyport Life for almost three years. Earlier in his career Mr. Polkinghorn held senior positions at several financial services companies and at Tillinghast Towers Perrin.
Mr. Polkinghorn has a bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries. He serves on the American Academy of Actuaries' Committee on Life Insurance. |
