Mr. Hopkins is responsible for WorldBusiness Capital's lending, underwriting and marketing activities in Europe and Asia, with particular focus on Russia. For seven years prior to joining WBC, Mr. Hopkins worked with a subsidiary of HSBC Bank plc solely focused on African business He was extensively involved in commodity pre-export trade finance, and subsequently managed the credit review and proposal process for the bank's $2 billion of African correspondent banking relationships. Previously, Mr. Hopkins was an independent consultant to hedge funds and an investment banker with a regional middle-market firm. A member of the Hartford Society of Financial Analysts and the CFA Institute, Mr. Hopkins is conversant in French and Swahili, and holds a B.A. in International Economics from Friends World College (England, Belgium and Kenya). |
