Mr. Kay was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He received a B.A. with distinction from the Virginia Military Institute, and was named Distinguished Military Graduate. After VMI, Mr. Kay served for eight years as an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve (XVIII Airborne Corps), including an active duty tour during the Persian Gulf War. He went on to graduate cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law. Mr. Kay’s practice focuses primarily on healthcare litigation, drug and medical device product liability, ERISA and insurance bad faith. Mr. Kay is licensed in Colorado and Georgia, and is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, Colorado Defense Lawyers Association, Defense Research Institute (Drug and Medical Device Committee), and the American Bar Association (Pharmaceuticals and Medical Device subcommittees). |
