Pete Stavros joined Kohlberg Kravis Robers & Co in 2005. Prior to joining KKR, he was a Vice President with GTCR Golder Rauner, where he was involved in numerous investments in the health care sector.
Prior to completing his M.B.A., Mr. Stavros was with Vestar Capital Partners, where he was involved in a broad range of private equity transactions, and in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group of Salomon Brothers Inc. He holds an A.B. and B.S. from Duke University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Pete lives and works in New York City but grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, which he still considers home. He enjoys following Duke basketball, running, tennis and New York's Broadway theater offerings. With his wife, Pete is planning a dream visit to the vineyards of Bordeaux, France.
One of his proudest moments professionally was in joining the KKR investment team. "The firm is unusually team-oriented and collaborative, and there is a true focus on issues I care about -- integrity, fairness and treating everyone with respect," he says.
