Peter G. Sliwkowski is the Vice President of Apama, DataXtend, and ObjectStore Products for the Enterprise Infrastructure Division. In this role, he is responsible for driving growth of the division's object database, real-time data services and event stream processing product lines across various industry segments which include finance, telecommunications and travel.

In his previous role as vice president of Progress products of the OpenEdge Division, Sliwkowski led the development, product management and technical support groups for Progress' OpenEdge application platform which included the Progress RDBMS, Progress 4GL, WebSpeed and Fathom Management product lines.

Sliwkowski joined Progress Software in 1988, and is one of the original architects of the Progress 4GL.

Sliwkowski holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Vermont.
