Peter O'Neill is executive vice president and head of State Street’s Investment Servicing and Investment Research and Trading businesses in the United Kingdom, South Africa and the Middle East. He is also a member of State Street’s European Executive Board (EEB), the company’s senior-most management structure in the region. Mr. O’Neill joined State Street in 1985 as treasury manager. He was then appointed head of the capital markets division in Luxembourg. After two years, he was appointed general manager of State Street's Tokyo Branch, where he became managing director for State Street's Hong Kong and Singapore global treasury offices. He returned to London in 1998 as senior vice president and general manager of State Street's London office and in January 2000, he was made managing director of State Street Global Markets in Europe and State Street Bank Europe Limited.
Mr. O'Neill attended The Wharton Executive Development Programme and has participated in various industry groups: The Commission Marche des Capitaux, sub-committee member of the Commission Promotion de la Place Financiere, Forex Club Japan and the ACCJ sub-committee on Investment Management. In 1992, he was appointed director of Forex Education Ltd. - a division of Association Cambiste Internationale, and in 1996 was made a director of State Street Pte Singapore. He is a director of State Street Luxembourg SA and State Street Bank Europe Limited, and a member of the Association of Foreign Banks (AFB). |
