As chief executive officer, Mr. Mills guides the overall business strategies for realizing the vision of Orielle as a leader in applied science and technology. As principal investigator he brings to bear a broad array of expertise in distributed object technology, software prototyping, program transformation, and parallel computing. Prior to founding Orielle, Mr. Mills was a Senior Scientist at Applied Research Associates, a Member of the Technical Staff at Nortel Networks, and before that a Research Associate in the Department of Computer Science at Duke University. During his time at ARA his research focused on distributed component technologies, while at Nortel he focused on dynamic code modification for real-time systems. As a research associate and graduate student he investigated parallel language and compiler design, the semantics of concurrency, and algorithms for molecular simulation and radar tracking. In addition he has several years of commercial experience in systems programming and systems analysis. Mr. Mills received the BA in Mathematics from Duke University, and the MS in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mr. Mills is the author of over 20 articles and book chapters on parallel computing and graphics, and has served as PI or co-PI in grants spanning most of the defense sector. |
