Peter Ford is an experienced senior financial executive with over 25 years of experience in corporate finance and crisis management for both public and private companies. His corporate responsibilities have included strategic planning, debt restructuring, due diligence reviews, SEC reporting, cash management, investor relations, equity origination, and the design and implementation of financial reporting systems.
With experience extending into a wide variety of industries, Peter has assisted internet firms, retailers, software developers, manufacturers, healthcare providers and financial services corporations serving as an interim CFO or an M&A advisor on divestiture and restructuring issues. He also has extensive experience in the administration of Chapter 11 cases, with responsibilities including asset sales, forensic accounting, valuation analysis, cash management, claims resolution and distributions, preparation of Disclosure Statements and Plans of Reorganization, U.S. Trustee reporting, shareholder communications, and the wind-down of benefit plans and 401k plans. He has also served as a Liquidation Agent for a $50 million multinational corporation.
Peter has served in several senior executive roles with public companies in the healthcare, publishing, manufacturing, and entertainment industries. Prior to joining Focus Management Group, Peter was the Chief Financial Officer of a publicly traded software developer. Peter's responsibilities included managing all financial aspects of the business and serving as Director for two of the Company's subsidiaries and a Chinese joint venture. Among his many accomplishments, Peter developed and implemented the Company's improved business plan and reporting systems. In another previous role, Peter served as CFO of a publicly traded healthcare company, where he raised funds through secondary offerings, private placements, debenture conversions, and expanded bank lines.
Peter is a Director for the Florida Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Clarkson University and an MBA in finance from Indiana University.
