Mr. Hahn represents public and private companies in complex business and intellectual property litigation, including business torts, breach of contract, contract interpretation, bond and surety issues, shareholder disputes, fiduciary obligations, product liability, deceptive and unfair trade practices, non-competition agreements, real estate and construction disputes, copyright and trademark infringement, and Lanham Act claims. He represents clients at both the trial and appellate level, as well as before administrative agencies, the USPTO, and WIPO.
Mr. Hahn has expertise in media and mass communications issues, including the First Amendment, prior restraints, defamation, rights of privacy and publicity, Freedom of Information and other public records acts, protection of confidential sources, FCC and FTC regulations, and false advertising. He counsels media clients on general business issues, including vendor and independent contractor agreements.
He advises clients on intellectual property identification, protection, and licensing, performs trademark and copyright evaluations, and prepares trademark and copyright applications.
Mr. Hahn is Chairman of the Columbus office’s Marketing Committee, he serves on the firm’s Technology and Library Committees, as well as the Paralegal Committee.
Prior to joining Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLP, Mr. Hahn interned with the Genesee County Prosecutor’s Office in Flint, Michigan and served as a judicial extern to a federal district court judge in St. Louis, Missouri. In law school, he served on the editorial board of the Washington University Journal of Urban and Contemporary Law.
