Dr. Peter Likins has been a director since August 2006. Dr. Likins is President Emeritus of the University of Arizona, having served as president from July1997 until July 2006. Previously he was President of Lehigh University for 15 years, having earlier served as Provost and Dean of Engineering and Applied Science at Columbia University. He is a member of The National Academy of Engineering and served on the U.S. President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology. Dr. Likins, an Outstanding American in the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, was a charter member of the NCAA President's Commission and later served on the NCAA Division I Board of Directors.
