Peter Ramstad joined The Toro Company in 2006 from Personnel Decisions International (PDI), a global leader in helping organizations build superior strategies that provide a competitive advantage. During his 16 year tenure with PDI, Pete founded its strategy practice, working with many public companies on strategic and talent planning, along with leadership development. In addition to his practice leadership role at PDI, Pete also served as the firm’s CFO for several years. Prior to joining PDI, Pete was a partner in the consulting division of McGladrey & Pullen, specializing in information technology and financial consultation.
In his position with Toro, Pete oversees new business growth opportunities and strategic development efforts to support Toro’s long-term revenue growth objectives. He leads the company’s Center for Advanced Turf Technology, an internal research and development team dedicated to exploring and commercializing advanced technologies such as agronomics, alternative fuels and robotics. He also plays an important role in Toro’s leadership development.
Pete received his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota in mathematics and accounting. He has completed significant coursework toward a Ph.D. in Accounting at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. He has served as an executive education faculty member at several universities and is published in Harvard Business Review and other periodicals. |
