With over 35 years of expertise, more than 10 with BBK, Pete knowledgeably assists clients with restructuring, bankruptcy, corporate finance, valuation, due diligence, interim management and risk/credit management. He specializes in cash flow improvement/profit enhancement programs, turnarounds and workouts and has acted in executive roles for a number of clients. Industries served include automotive, retail, health care, computer hardware, computer software, computer services, capital equipment, financial services, engineering, construction, cable television, materials processing, passenger airlines, food processing and trucking. He also has expertise in providing operational and financial assessments of companies, developing and negotiating out-of-court debt restructuring plans and designing Chapter 11 plans of reorganization. Professional Experience Pete has accumulated a variety of success stories in his time with BBK. He served as the interim President and CEO of Vari-L, a publicly owned company in the wireless electronic components business. While leading Vari-L, Pete achieved positive cash flow and profitability within nine months. Pete also served as the interim President and CEO of Coleman Natural Products, a company that processed and marketing all-natural beef products to over 1,500 customers in North America. He restored positive cash flow and profitability within three months. Stockholders received a substantial premium on their investment when the company was sold. Additionally, Pete advised a bank group in the Chapter 11 bankruptcy of F&M, a national retail chain that owed the bank group over $100 million. The bank group was repaid 100% of the $100 million debt, including interest and all professional fees, in 11 months. Prior to BBK, Pete was the founder/partner of Aegis Associates a management consulting firm. He developed and implemented a turnaround for a software company, taking them from breakeven to profit equal to 15% of sales in less than one year. He also helped a financial services company become profitable immediately after acquisition. As CFO of Perceptron (a leading supplier of industrial quality measurement systems in North America, Western Europe and Japan) he led a turnaround to positive cash flow, raised $15 million in equity, established an unsecured line of credit, raised $2 million of long-term debt, established a European subsidiary with a joint venture partner, hired two Wall Street investment banking firms and prepared the company for an initial public offering.
