General Dalby has served as chief executive officer and director of VirTra Systems since July of 2006. Previously, General Dalby served as VirTra Systems' first advisory board member, created in January 2005, to provide expert military and training guidance to the company. General Dalby obtained his bachelor of science degree from Oklahoma Christian University in 1966, and his masters of science degree from the University of Southern California in 1978. General Dalby entered military service in November 1966, attended Officer Candidate School, and was commissioned on October 5, 1967. After his initial assignment with the 52nd Infantry in the 1st Armored Division, General Dalby attended flight school and was assigned to duty with the First Cavalry Division in the Republic of Vietnam, where he was a gunship pilot and combat platoon commander. In 1975, General Dalby was assigned to the 17th Aviation Group in Korea where he served as the executive officer for the 55th Aviation Detachment. Upon his return, he was assigned as an infantry company commander with the 2nd Armored Division. General Dalby left active military duty in July 1977, and remained in the Individual Ready Reserve force until June 1983, when he was assigned to the 75th Maneuver Area Command. He subsequently served as the commander of the Battle Simulation Center, combat arms branch chief, and as the assistant deputy commander for the 75th Division (exercise). In December of 2000, General Dalby assumed command of the 75th Division (Training Support) and subsequently mobilized the division in support of the global war on terrorism in January, 2003. Major General Dalby remained on active duty until his retirement in May of 2004. In addition to General Dalby's distinguished military command and training experience, he also has previously served in a management capacity for private-sector contract-manufacturing operations. |
