Paulo Cezar Coelho Tavares Born on 10/27/1953 he majored in Electrical Engineering from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco obtained his Master’s Degree in Energy Systems from Unicamp Campinas and obtained his MBA in Finance in 1998 from IBMEC Rio de Janeiro. He was the Chairman of GCS an energy and gas distribution company owned by the Guaraniana Group and Corporate Development Vice Chairman and Chairman of CELPE Pernambuco’s energy distribution company. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of Companhia Energética de Alagoas CEAL Companhia Energética do Rio Grande do Norte COSERN and Companhia Energética de Pernambuco CELPE. He currently holds the position of Energy Management Vice Chairman of CPFL Paulista CPFL Geração CPFL Piratininga CPFL Brasil and CPFL Sul Centrais Elétricas; Market Director of RGE and Director of Foz do Chapecó CPFL Cone Sul and CPFL Serra. In addition he is a member of the Board of Directors of CERAN. Mr. Paulo Cezar Coelho Tavares is the Company’s Energy Management Vice Chairman since 08/28/2002.
