Paula Perkins Biography :

Biography

Paula Perkins is senior counsel in the firm's Appellate Section. Before joining the firm, Ms. Perkins spent thirteen-plus years on the legal staff of the Second Court of Appeals in Fort Worth. During that time, she served in various capacities, including as briefing attorney for Justice Sam Day, staff attorney for Chief Justice John Cayce, and chief staff attorney for the court. Ms. Perkins assisted the court with numerous complex civil appeals, original proceedings, and matters involving the court's internal policies and procedures. As a result of her extensive experience working with appellate judges, Ms. Perkins is uniquely equipped to assist clients in all aspects of appellate practice.

Ms. Perkins has also served as Chair and Vice Chair of the Appellate Section of the Tarrant County Bar Association, and she chaired the bar association's annual food drive for several years. She is an author and speaker on appellate issues.

In addition to her professional practice, Ms. Perkins is active in her church as a member, a greeter, a lay Eucharist visitor, and a meal ministry volunteer. She and her husband John, a history professor at Tarrant County College, enjoy travel, entertaining friends in their home, and spending time with their large, extended families.
