Paul has always been interested in both design and construction (he actually doesn't see a distinction between the two). He had a foot in both camps in school, earning Masters degrees in both Architecture and Construction Engineering and Management from the University of Michigan.Always interested in improving the process of making buildings, Paul left SmithGroup in Detroit to work for a startup in San Francisco, consulting with project teams to help them manage their projects online. Not content with being outside the project team, however, led him to become a Project Manager at KMD where he focused on a range of project types, from interior fit-outs to large institutional projects.Seeing an opportunity to fundamentally change the way we build, he joined Michelle Kaufmann Designs as a Partner in 2004.Paul is an architect licensed in the States of California and Colorado. |
