Paul Sheppard is a Vice President of the firm’s corporate advisory business.
Before joining Evercore, Mr. Sheppard was Vice President of the Corporate Finance & Strategy Group for Pearson and was based in New York. Previously, Mr. Sheppard was an Associate at Schroder Salomon Smith Barney in the Investment Banking Group. He has also written for the Financial Times’ Lex column and interned at Apax Partners.
At Pearson, notable transactions included the sales of Government Solutions and Recoletos to private equity buyers and the acquisitions of National Evaluation Systems and American Guidance Service. At Schroders, notable transactions included the sale of Pearson’s stake in Lazard, Land Securities’ acquisition of Trillium and the merger between General Accident and Commercial Union.
Mr. Sheppard received a B.A. in Social and Political Sciences from Cambridge University and an M.B.A. with honors from The Wharton School, where he was a Fulbright Scholar. |
