A Director since October 2000 Dr. Goddard is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of ARYx Therapeutics. Between 2000 and 2005 Dr. Goddard served as Chairman and part-time executive of several companies including XenoPort Inc. Dr. Goddard served as President and CEO of Elan Pharmaceuticals from 1998 to 2000. He served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Neurex Corporation from 1991 through 1998 when the company was acquired by Elan for over $900 million. He is also a Director of Onyx Pharmaceutical Inc. Molecular Devices Inc. and AP Pharma. Dr. Goddard received a Doctorate in Etiology and Pathophysiology of Colon Cancer from St. Mary's Hospital University of London. |
