Paul Buttery was appointed Director of Customer Services and Operations of the Business Division of ntl:Telewest in February 2006. He joined ntl:Telewest from Cable & Wireless where he had been UK CTO. His responsibilities at ntl:Telewest Business include Customer Service Service Management Provisioning Service Assurance and Field Operations in the UK business market.
Paul has held a range of senior positions in the Telecommunications sector over the course of the last 26 years. He started with British Telecom as a Technical Apprentice and finished his career in BT as Country Planning Manager for France and Spain as part of the BT Europe organisation. In 1995 Paul joined MFS in London as Director of Major Programmes. MFS acquired UUNET and was then acquired by Worldcom ultimately becoming MCI. During this time Paul held a number of positions including VP of Business Development and Strategy VP of the US Internet Operations organisation based in Virginia and finally leading the EMEA Plan Build and Operate organisation. Paul left MCI in September 2004 to join C&W.
Whilst at C&W he was initially responsible for the Engineering Planning and Operations of C&W Group Business. His final role at C&W was CTO of the UK Business where Paul led the Planning Engineering Provisioning and Operation of the UK network as well as being responsible for UK IT.
Personal: Paul is married and lives in Berkshire. He enjoys driving fast cars walking and is a bad golfer. |
