Mr. Hookham started his career with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in finance and accounting from the University of Alberta. Prior to Securac, he was Chief Financial Officer of a nutraceutical company. Responsible for the financial and overall operations of the company, Mr. Hookham wrote the strategic plan, created pro-forma financials, implemented corporate budgets and financial controls and escorted the company through a multi-million dollar debt and equity financing.
Formerly Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer of a publicly traded company, TraceAbility Solutions Inc., Mr. Hookham reported to the Board of Directors. As CFO he created the financial plan for the company, managed the companies' investment portfolio, and was responsible for treasury, the stock option plan, capital budgeting, credit facilities, intellectual property, corporate law, taxation and securities compliance.
Since its inception in early 2002, Mr. Hookham has been Co-Founder, Director, Treasurer, Secretary and Chief Financial Officer of Securac. During his tenure, Mr. Hookham organized the Securac group of companies into a tax efficient, multi-national structure, successfully completed several multi-million dollar acquisitions throughout North America and Europe, took an affiliated company public through a reverse merger transaction, and assisted with the completion of a series of private equity placements in excess of $5M. |
