Mr. Mitchell has been a director of Alkermes since April 2003. He has served as the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Kenet, Inc. since April 2002. Prior to joining Kenet, Mr. Mitchell was the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Kopin Corporation from April 1985 through September 1998. From September 1998 through June 2001, Mr. Mitchell served in a consulting role at Kopin as Director of Strategic Planning. Prior to joining Kopin, Mr. Mitchell worked for the international accounting firm of Touche Ross & Co. from 1975 to 1984. Mr. Mitchell is also President of Mitchell Financial Group and a member of the board of directors of several private companies. Mr. Mitchell, a graduate of College of the Holy Cross (B.A. Economics) and Northeastern University (M.S. Accounting), is a Certified Public Accountant.
