Paul is instrumental in managing all aspects of the company. He is involved in strategically investing capital both intellectual and financial. Paul specializes in high-level operational consulting, as well as the development of overall automation and integration strategies. He is also involved in expert witness testimony, and is a contributing author to Aspatore Books' Inside the Minds, a series of publications that examine C-level business intelligence.
Paul founded MAGNUM Technologies in 1989, providing multi-disciplined engineering services, programming, process control and computer-aided design services to Fortune 1000 companies. One of the fastest-growing technology firms in the St. Louis region, MAGNUM Technologies earned several awards, including recognition as one of Inc. magazine's top-500 growth companies in the nation in 1995. In 1997, Paul and his partners sold MAGNUM to General Electric (GE), where it became a GE Industrial Systems Division subsidiary. Paul continued to serve as president until early 1999, and later that year founded MAVERICK Technologies. He eventually acquired Software Architects, also an Inc. 500 company, and merged it with MAVERICK.
A licensed professional engineer, Paul holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Southern Illinois University. He is also a graduate of the GE Executive Management school and the Harvard Business School Presidents' Program. A three-time finalist for the St. Louis region Entrepreneur of the Year award, Paul was named one of Fast Forward's "40 under 40," a listing of the top young executives in the St. Louis area. Paul believes there is one important attribute that differentiates MAVERICK from the competition: He truly understands what the client does. Paul's business philosophy consists of five fundamental tenets: Work hard, be honest, do the right thing, pay attention to what you do and realize the needs of the overall organization.
Paul was a crucial member of the Anheuser-Busch Capacity Study team, which resulted in Brewing Enabled Schedule Technology (BEST). Areas such as policy, procedure and capacity were put through a rigorous review in order to provide an all-encompassing look at the brewing company. The final result had a strong impact: increased productivity at a minimum cost.
Paul's personal interests range from investing in the stock market to spending time on his farm in Missouri, where he raises cattle. He is devoted to his family, and is particularly involved in sports activities with his sons. |
