Paul was born in Porcupine and graduated from Oglala Community High School in Pine Ridge. He is currently executive director of the Porcupine Health Clinic and also owns the Porcupine Trading Post. Paul previously served one term as Tribal Chairman (1989-1990) and Vice Chairman and was appointed and served one term as Fifth Member of the Executive Committee. His past Tribal involvement also includes eight years as a Tribal Council member from the Porcupine District along with service on the Tribal EDA, Land and Education Committees. Paul also served on the National American Indian Housing Board for four years and was chairman of the United Native American Housing Association for six years. He was appointed to the Golden West board in 2002 to fill the vacancy in District VI caused by the death of Director Dick Hagen. |
