Mr. Fernandes is responsible for the operation and oversight of STG's Defense Sector, with more than 600 people and revenues of nearly $100 million. The Defense Sector focuses on providing performance-based support for warfighter systems and IT operations for the Department of Defense (DoD), including enterprise network, security and server operations; weapons systems development; software and application development; enterprise architecture; Web design; business process reengineering; test and evaluation support; enterprise help desk operations; linguistics; and financial management. Mr. Fernandes previously served as STG's Senior Vice President, Civil Agencies Sector. He came to STG in 2004 with more than 20 years of experience in senior management positions in growth-oriented IT organizations focused on defense and federal agencies. Prior to STG, he served as Senior Vice President for ACS Government Services' civilian unit with full profit-and-loss responsibilities spanning key government agencies such as DoD, the U.S. Air Force, Congress, Executive Office of the President, Housing and Urban Development, Department of Energy, the Environmental Protection Agency and others. Mr. Fernandes has a BS in Management from Bellevue University and served in the U.S. Air Force.
