Patrick York Biography :

As the son of an automobile dealer, Patrick had the unique experience of working his way through all the different areas of a dealership. This work gave him a rare understanding of the way a dealership functions as a whole. Upon graduating from the University of Texas at San Antonio, he broadened his dealership knowledge even more as a Legislative Affairs Assistant for the Texas Automobile Dealers Association.

Patrick has held a wide range of positions within Service Group, including Sales Trainer, F&I Trainer, and District Manager. In 2001, he developed the Fixed Solutions Program and became chair of the Fixed Solutions Conferences and facilitator for the Fixed Solutions Advisory Committee. Because of his impressive track record, Patrick has been a featured speaker at NADA 20 Group meetings and NADA conventions.

As Vice President of Marketing - Finance and Insurance for Service Life and Service Lloyds, Patrick is in charge of field personnel management and dealer acquisition and retention. He also oversees all training conducted by Service Group, which includes the curriculum at Service Group Academy and Service Group’s offsite training F&I, Fixed, and Sales Solutions. Since joining the home office, Patrick has rebranded Service Group Academy and overhauled the F&I curriculum. He is also responsible for launching the successful Coffee Is for Closers campaign to make the Service Group training programs more dynamic and hands-on. The campaign has had extremely positive results with course participants and has distinguished Service Group’s training from that offered by other companies. As reinforcement for the techniques taught by Service Group, Patrick writes a monthly Coffee Is for Closers article for Service Group Advisor.

Patrick is an AFIP-certified mentor and a graduate of the National Automobile Dealers Association's 12-month Dealer Candidate Academy. He resides in Austin with his wife and two children.
