Dr. Patrick Nordhues is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery Rechtsanwälte Steuerberater LLP and is based in its Düsseldorf office. He is a member of the Corporate Department where his practice focuses on corporate law, capital markets and mergers and acquisitions, with a special focus on German stock corporation and takeover law.
Patrick has advised numerous listed companies on all aspects of corporate law and takeover law. He also advised on actions of minority shareholders and appraisal proceedings in connection with corporate reorganizations and squeeze-outs. In addition, he regularly acts for various German and international clients in acquisitions or sale of businesses and companies.
Recent transactions include advising a German financial outsourcing group in relation to the takeover and subsequent taking private (Delisting) of a listed software company by way of merger. Patrick recently represented a German bank in its spin-off of a client portfolio and subsequent sale to an international financial group in an auction process.
Before joining the Firm Patrick was an attorney in the corporate department of a leading international law firm.
Patrick is a member of the Corporate Law Association (VGR).
