Patrick Botti joined R3Logic in February 2007, overseeing the operations of the company. Patrick Botti has over eighteen years of experience in the field of HighTech. He started his career as an IT manager, then became one of the very early web developers, becoming an online developer and publisher for Kronos Corporation, in Waltham, MA. There he developed the first intranet operations for the company and became one of the first webmasters in the field. In 1996 Patrick joined Dragon Systems as a Senior Software Developer, responsible for the development of international speech recognition products. Patrick successfully led some of the international effort at Dragon Systems, especially the early release in 1997 of the highly successful French version of Dragon Naturally Speaking, the first large vocabulary continuous speech system. He went on to manage the International Development Department at Dragon Systems. In that position he became involved with acoustic and language modeling techniques, becoming an expert in language modeling for international development. He created a tagging system for French that was subsequently used and enhanced for the development of other languages. He then transitioned to Research, leading a team responsible for all data resources at Dragon Systems and later at Learnout & Hauspie, following their acquisition of Dragon. There he developed new algorithms and new technologies for data acquisition and processing. In 2001 Patrick joined IConverse in Waltham, MA managing all data resources operations and working on new technologies for phone data acquisition. In 2002 Patrick worked as a senior consultant for Octave Communications in Nashua, NH, a company specialized in audio conferencing. There he directed an effort to internationalize the mainline audio conferencing product, releasing the system in seven languages in less than six months. This in turn permitted the sale of Octave to its biggest competitor at a record selling price. In 2002 Patrick Botti joined VoiceSignal Technologies in Woburn, MA, managing all data resources for the entire company. There he controlled a budget in excess of 2 million dollars and managed to cut costs of operations by 2/3 while increasing data throughput by 50% . Patrick Botti studied computer science in the 1980s, learning programming while pursuing a professional musical career. He started his involvement with the High Tech industry while working as a music director for the archdiocese of Boston. Having been asked to maintain end user PC systems, he discovered a major bug in a church Operation and Census system widely used throughout the world, saving millions of dollars in lost data and retrieval operations. This gave him more exposure and, while involved with other parishes within the Boston archdiocesan system, he was asked to consult on computer matters especially pertinent to network operations. He studied at the New England Conservatory and Boston University on a Fulbright Scholarship and on an Annette Kade Fellowship. From 1989 to 1993, Patrick Botti taught at Assumption College in Worcester, MA and was a guest lecturer at Clark University in Worcester, MA. He was also faculty at the Longy School of Music from 1985 to 1988. Prior to that he studied at the Sorbonne University, the Ecole Normale de Musique and the Paris National Conservatory, in Paris France. He also studied at the Marseille National Conservatory and at the School of Law at the University of Aix-Marseille. As a conductor, Patrick is famous for having conducted orchestras worldwide, specializing himself in French Music from 1850 to 1980. |
