Mr. Tylka is responsible for overseeing all sales and application engineering support for Scientific Atlanta’s broadband products worldwide along with service for the Asia Pacific and EMEA regions. In this role Mr. Tylka directs an extensive sales force in providing end-to-end solutions encompassing video, data, telephony and networking products. Mr. Tylka’s sales division is closely aligned with the North America service organization, regional marketing and customer program management.
Mr. Tylka joined the company in 1988 as the Northeast Regional Sales Manager, became Vice President of Sales in 1991 and President of Sales in 1995. Shortly thereafter Mr. Tylka was appointed to the role of President, Worldwide Sales. Prior to Scientific Atlanta, Mr. Tylka held a variety of sales management positions with AT&T.
Mr. Tylka is a member of various industry-related organizations, including CTAM, the Cable Television and Marketing Society, Women in Cable and Telecommunications, and Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers.
A native of Edison, New Jersey, Mr. Tylka earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut and a master’s degree at Kean College in New Jersey. Mr. Tylka and his wife, Sylvia, reside in a northern suburb of Atlanta, Georgia.
