Patrick Steel is a Managing Director in the Financial Sponsors investment banking group. Mr. Steel has managed capital markets transactions for a variety of companies in the real estate, insurance and specialty finance sectors prior to joining the Financial Sponsors Group in 2004.
Prior to joining FBR, Mr. Steel was the associate administrator of the Foreign Agricultural Service at the US Department of Agriculture from 1999-2001. In 2000, he served as Senior Advisor for Agriculture at the White House China Trade Relations Working Group. From 1997 until 1999, Mr. Steel served as deputy chief of staff to Secretary Dan Glickman at the USDA. From 1995-1997, he was a special assistant to President Bill Clinton and deputy director for scheduling at the White House. From 1993-95 he worked at the U.S. Department of Education as a special assistant to Education Secretary Richard Riley.
Mr. Steel holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania, a masters degree in legal and political theory from the University of London, and an MBA from Georgetown University. |
