Pat’s career history has given her a diverse background and breadth of experience. A graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting she began her career with Ernst & Young in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania as a certified public accountant. Attracted to the complexity and opportunity of a global energy company she joined Gulf Oil Corporation in 1977 and held positions in refining marketing strategic planning and finance.

That same year she set an ambitious two-year goal to deliver more than $500 million in before-tax business improvements and she achieved that goal one year ahead of schedule.

Her efforts and her personal passion have also focused on the well being of employees. In less than two years injuries were reduced by close to 70% and severe injuries were reduced by 80%; the organization achieved world-class safety results and the well being of all workers became a personal and passionate value adopted throughout the organization.
