Paolo Baroldi has joined Vanda in July 2006 as Chief Medical Officer. From February 2003 to June 2006 Dr. Baroldi was Vice President Corporate Drug Development at Chiesi Pharmaceuticals, in Italy. From 1998 to 2002, Dr. Baroldi served as Global Head of Clinical Pharmacology at Novartis Pharma, based in Basel (Switzerland) but being in charge of five different sites (in France, UK, Japan, and 2 in the US). Before that experience, Dr. Baroldi led Clinical Pharmacology at Abbot labs, in North Chicago for three years.
Dr. Baroldi has over 23 years of drug development experience in many critical therapeutic areas, including psychiatry and neurology. He has received a medical Degree and a Ph.D. in Clinical Pharmacology at Universitas Studiorum of Milan. He also holds a degree in Philosophy and History, that makes him deeply interested in bioethics, and more specifically, in ethical issues related to drug development. |
