Ms. Faber is a partner in the Firm’s Real Estate Group. She focuses her practice on the acquisition, financing, and development of commercial projects and mixed use recreational communities such as ski and golf resorts. Having served as commercial underwriting counsel to one of the Commonwealth’s largest title insurance underwriters, Ms. Faber has an extensive breadth and depth of knowledge of land title matters. She has served as an expert witness in high-profile land disputes involving riparian, littoral and other water rights both in courtrooms and before administrative bodies.Ms. Faber has represented several multi-site operators of franchised businesses, not only advising them on real estate acquisition, development and leasing matters, but also on organizational and franchise issues. Represented a national restaurant franchisee in all stages of developing 27 restaurants from property acquisition through construction and permanent financing, operations and eventual sale of the business venture.Represented a regional bank in extending a multi-million credit facility for the acquisition, development and construction of an industrial warehouse in Chesapeake, Virginia.Represented an international travel-destination developer in the creation of a mixed-use resort village containing commercial, residential and flagged hotel properties.Engaged as an expert witness for a political subdivision of the state whose ownership of waterfront property critical to the state’s transportation system, was challenged by an adjacent landowner. |
