Oliver O. Hauck, President & CEO Oliver Hauck is the president and chief executive officer of Siemens Transportation Systems, Inc., a full-service provider of products and services for the transportation industry in North America. Mr. Hauck began his career with Siemens AG in Germany in 1982 as a systems engineer for the metals industry. In 1985, Mr. Hauck transferred to Siemens Energy & Automation in the United States as a senior systems engineer. In 1991, Mr. Hauck was named manager of the Process Industries Business Unit. In this role, he was responsible for the business unit`s profitability, resource optimizations and business strategies. He held this position until being named vice president, Systems Division in 1994. The division was expanded in 1995 to include the automation systems business, and Mr. Hauck was named vice president, Industrial & Logistics Systems Division. He was named vice president, Industrial Systems & Service Division in 1997 when the division was expanded to include field service. In 1998, he was promoted to president of Siemens Westinghouse Technical Services when Siemens acquired Westinghouse`s Electrical Engineering Services Division and created a technical services business to better serve customers. In 1999, he was assigned responsibility for the entire Industrial Systems and Technical Services Division, including Siemens Westinghouse. He was also named to the Siemens Energy & Automation Executive Committee. In December 2000, Mr. Hauck was named senior vice president of Siemens Energy & Automation’s Process Industries Division, which provides total life cycle requirements (products, solutions, large systems, and Level III services) for specific industries. In this role, he strengthened Siemens Energy & Automation’s overall position within the industrial market by realizing the potential for future growth and a stronger customer alignment. In December 2001, Mr. Hauck was named president and chief executive officer of Siemens Transportation Systems, Inc. Oliver earned a master`s degree in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Erlangen/Nuremberg, Germany.
