Nicole Wobus possesses nine years of experience working in the fields of energy efficiency and renewable energy. Having developed and managed renewable energy programs as Program Director for a Massachusetts non-profit for over five years, she brings a unique perspective and diverse skill set to her work as a consultant. Her work has included the development and management of a green power purchasing program, management of a U.S. DOE Million Solar Roofs Partnership to address market barriers to solar energy installations, and implementation of a photovoltaic installation program. Ms. Wobus also possesses experience with renewable energy resource procurement, contract development and implementation, economic feasibility studies for renewable energy applications, policy analysis, public education, marketing, and fulfillment of program information technology needs. Since joining Summit Blue as a consultant in 2005, Ms. Wobus has conducted data collection, analysis and reporting for a variety of process and impact evaluations. She recently participated on a team evaluating the effectiveness of messaging and delivery channels for California's statewide energy efficiency and demand response education, outreach and awareness programs. Ms. Wobus was the lead author of the literature review completed for this project. She played a key role in applying current industry knowledge and data collection results to present the client with substantive recommendations for program improvements. Ms. Wobus also played a central role in two recent evaluation efforts for the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). One project measured non-energy impacts (NEI) of energy efficiency programs, and was one of the first of its kind to use conjoint analysis as a means of gauging NEI value. Another project updated an ongoing evaluation of the energy and demand savings resulting from NYSERDA's End-Use Renewables Program. Ms. Wobus is also completing a greenhouse gas inventory for a California electric utility participating in the California Climate Action Registry. Prior to joining Summit Blue Consulting, Ms. Wobus worked as Director of Renewable Energy Programs for a Massachusetts-based non-profit organization. Ms. Wobus' experience also includes work as a green building consultant to non-profits and municipalities, as well as consulting for EPA's Energy Star Buildings Program. Ms. Wobus earned an M.A. in urban and environmental policy from Tufts University where she focused on the environmental impacts of electric industry restructuring in Massachusetts. She holds a B.A. (magna cum laude) from Bowdoin College. |
