Mr. Tomassetti joined EarthFirst’s Board of Directors in August 2001. Currently, Mr. Tomassetti holds the title of President of NRT Associates, an aerospace consulting company. From 1999-2002 Mr. Tomassetti was President and CEO of Airbus Industry of North America Holdings, Inc., where he was responsible for all North American Operations. Prior to that, he held the title of vice president-general manager of a twin-engine aircraft business development for McDonnell Douglas Corp, where he was responsible for such activities as sales, contracts, market planning, and sales finance. Prior to joining McDonnell Douglas in 1992, he was the executive vice president of Pratt & Whitney's Commercial Engine Business organization. During his more than 30 years at Pratt & Whitney, Mr. Tomassetti held various positions in management, engineering, marketing and customer support. In 1981, he was appointed vice president sales and service of Pratt & Whitney's Commercial Products Division and in 1984, was elected to fill the top marketing position at newly-founded International Aero Engines (IAE), the five nation consortium formed to develop and market the IAE V2500 aircraft engine. He became president and CEO of IAE in 1987. A native of Hartford, Connecticut, Mr. Tomassetti earned an Engineering degree from General Motors Institute and a Master's degree in Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mr. Tomassetti is a Member of the Board of The International Institute of Sport located at URI and has served in this position since its inception. He was elected to the Board of Trustees for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in February of 2002. He currently serves on the Development and Student Life Committees. He also serves on the Boards of Northwest Airlines Airlink, Pinnacle Airlines Corporation, Pantheon Chemical Corporation, and Board Trustee of Rainier Aircraft Investment Notes and Subsidiaries. Mr. Tomassetti is also an advisor to Krauthamer Associates, an executive search firm and an Aircraft Advisory Board Member of Republic Finance Corporation. |
