Nicholas P. Wahl is a shareholder in the Milwaukee office of Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. and is a member of both the Corporate and Real Estate Practice Groups. Nic's business practice is focused on representing privately held companies and their owners, equity funds and management. Nic has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital transactions, and acting as outside general counsel to his clients . Nic's real estate practice is focused on purchase and sale transactions, leasing, and financing. Nic, originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin, joined the firm in 1990 and was elected shareholder in 1997. Nic has chaired the firm's Recruiting Committee, has been a member of its Compensation Committee and currently is a member of the firm's Management Committee.

Facilitator Capital Fund - Represented the fund in its purchase of CERAC, Inc.'s assets, as a portfolio company and in the fund's sale of CERAC, Inc. to a subsidiary of publicly traded Brush Engineered Materials Inc. Caltius Equity Fund - Represented fund's portfolio company, Northwest Coatings, Inc., in its operations, in its add-on stock acquisition of privately held Actinic, Inc. and in the fund's sale of both entities to publicly traded Ashland, Inc. Mason Wells BioMedical Fund I - represented the venture capital fund in numerous early-stage portfolio company equity investments and debt financings. Hamacher Resource Group - represented founder in asset sale to Non-Stop Solutions, Inc. and represented management in subsequent Hamacher division buy-out from Non-Stop Solutions, Inc. Gustave A. Larson Company, Inc. - represent regional HVAC distributor/wholesaler in its day-to-day activities, its real estate matters and have represented the Company in three add-on acquisitions. Batteries Plus - represented national battery retailer/franchiser in its sale (sale of LLC interests) to private equity fund Roark Capital.
