Mr. Nicholas Moore joined Gilead's Board of Directors in March 2004. He is currently the Chairman of the Audit Committee and serves on the Compensation Committee. Mr. Moore is the retired global Chairman of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC), a professional services firm formed in July 1998 by the merger of Coopers & Lybrand and Price Waterhouse. Mr. Moore was elected Chairman and CEO of Coopers & Lybrand (U.S.) in 1994 and Coopers & Lybrand International in 1997. Following the merger in July 1998 with Price Waterhouse, Mr. Moore served as CEO of the U.S. firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers for two years and served for three years as global Chairman of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Moore serves on the Board of Directors of Bechtel Group, Inc., Network Appliance Inc., Wells Fargo, and certain private, venture capital-backed, technology companies. He also served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of St. Mary's College of California. Mr. Moore is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the California Bar Association, and the California and New York Society of CPAs. Mr. Moore received a B.S. in Accounting from St. Mary's College and a J.D. from Hastings College of Law, University of California. |
