Neil Tipograph is a tax partner at Imowitz Koenig & Co., LLP (IK&Co), and an owner and technology director of Real Estate Systems Implementation Group, LLC. Neil began his career in 1979 and has been with IK&Co since 1988. His experience in the real estate industry includes significant involvement with tax planning and management/business advisory services for various private and institutional real estate owner-operators and developers. Neil is a leading expert in the areas of partnership allocations, state entity and withholding taxes, construction-related sales tax issues, investor reporting, and electronic filing of partnership returns. Neil is frequently invited to lecture on behalf of IK&Co and has written about various partnership topics. Neil holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s degree in Taxation from the Stern School of Business at New York University. Neil is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). From 1999 to 2001, Neil served as Chairperson of the NYSSCPA’s Partnership Committee, of which he has been a member since 1995. Additionally, Neil has served on the NYSSCPA’s Municipal and Local Committee since 1991 and the NYSSCPA’s Tax Division Oversight Committee since 2005. In 2001, he was awarded the 2000/2001 Foundation for Accounting Education Outstanding Service Award. |
