For in excess of the past twenty-five years, Mr. Raymond has, in his role of Financier, helped sponsor a number of public and private companies.
Mr. Raymond is Chairman and CEO of Innovium Capital Corp. (formerly Agritek Bio Ingredients Corporation), a public company with investments in innovative early-stage opportunities. He has been President of Feejay Corporation Canada Limited (a private family holding company) for approximately 20 years.
Mr. Raymond is a member of the Board of Directors of Canadian General Investments, a closed-end mutual fund managing in excess of C$600 million trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the London Exchange. He is currently Chairman of the Corporate Governance Committee of CGI, and sits on its Independent Committee of Directors. Mr. Raymond is also a director and active participant in a variety of private companies and partnerships. He was a founding partner of the Prime Restaurant Group, whose US operations were sold to Pizza Hut (PepsiCo) and whose Canadian operations encompass the Eastside Marios, Red Devil, and Casey's restaurant concepts; and was also a charter investor in Fast Company, a business magazine founded by the former editors of the Harvard Business Review, published by U.S. News and World Report, and sold a number of years ago to BMG. He has been a director of a number of social/cultural organizations over the years. Past directorships have included: Infinitheatre, the Montreal Symphony Orchestra for approximately a decade, and member of the Board of Directors of the Sir Mortimer Davis/Jewish General Hospital Foundation. |
